The Chicago Wolves have a unique connection to the Triphahn Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, which has served as the team’s primary practice facility since 2005. The facility was expanded to include two professional-sized ice rinks specifically to accommodate the Wolves’ training needs, making it one of the premier practice complexes in the American Hockey League. In addition to serving as the team’s year-round training headquarters, the Triphahn Center became the Wolves’ temporary home arena during the 2020–21 AHL season when COVID-19 restrictions prevented fans from attending games at Allstate Arena. The smaller venue allowed the organization to continue playing while following state health guidelines, marking the first time in franchise history that the Wolves played regular-season home games anywhere other than Allstate Arena. Although the team later returned to its traditional home, the Triphahn Center remains an integral part of the franchise, hosting practices, training camps, and select preseason activities while serving as an important community recreation facility for the Hoffman Estates Park District.
