John Wayne Gacy was one of the most famous serial killers of his times. He was convicted of murdering 33 young men and boys, and disposing of their bodies underneath his Chicago house, burying them in the crawlspace, or under his garage and BBQ pit. 4 bodies he disposed of by dumping them into the Des Plaines River. He was discovered by the police in 1978 after a 17 year old boy went missing, Robert Piest, who was last seen with Gacy. A search warrant uncovered suspicious evidence at Gacy’s house and the police started the surveillance of Gacy. Over time, they were able to obtain a second search warrant, this time finding decomposed bodies. He liked to tie young men and boys up and torture them, as well as rape them, before strangling them. Gacy was found guilty of 33 homicides and sentenced to death on March 13, 1980. He was executed by lethal injection at Stateville Prison on May 10, 1994.
