Fred Goetz, AKA “Shotgun” George Zeigler, was a suspected participant in the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. He raped a 7 year old when he was 25 and jumped bail. He would soon become mentored by some prominent gangsters. After the 1929 Valentine’s Day Massacre, he left for Kansas City, becoming a bootlegger and bank robber. He helped out the Barker Gang and Alvin Karpis. He returned to Chicago and was blasted in the face at close range by a 12 gauge.

Frank Gusenberg was a principal hitman for the North Side Gang. He was also one of the victims of the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. He survived the initial shooting and was taken to the hospital where he eventually died. He was originally buried in Rosehill Cemetery, but were later moved to Irving Park Cemetery.
