Mob Boss – {born Giuseppe Aiello}
Joe Aiello was a Sicilian Mob Boss, known for having a feud with Capone. He probably plotted with Bugs Moran to have his enemy, Antonio Lombardo President of the Unione Siciliana, killed. This is what probably caused the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre to occur. Aiello was machine-gunned outside a friend’s apartment probably by Capone.

ANTHONY “TONY” ACCARDO (1906-1992) – GRAVE

Tony Accardo took over the Chicago Outfit in the 40’s. He was allegedly one of the shooters at the St Valentine’s Day Massacre. Joe Batters, named after beating to death his enemies, never went to prison.

Frank Calabrese Sr. ran the Chinatown crew. He was indicted in 2005 in the Family Secrets Trial, which exposed much of the Chicago Outfit and resulted in many convictions. He died in prison.

Al Capone was called to Chicago by Johnny Torrio, who came to Chicago because he was called in by Big Jim Colosimo. Capone soon rose to control almost the entire city of Chicago. Capone is synonymous with organized crime and gangsters.

Vincent Drucci was a close associate of Dean O’Banion, until his murder by Torrio. Then the North Side Gang was headed by Hymie Weiss, Bugs Moran and Drucci. Drucci was killed by Chicago Police while in custody.

Frank Gusenberg was a principal hitman for the North Side Gang. he was also one of the victims of the St. Valemtine’s Day Massacre. Journalist
Jake Lingle was a journalist with the Chicago Tribune. He was what was known a a legman, one who uncovered the information and phoned it in. He was murdered in broad daylight one day in downtown Chicago. It became known afterwards, that Lingle was also involved in mob activities.

Antonio Lombardo was Capone’s advisor after Torrio retired. He also got elected President of Unione Siciliana, which the North Side Gang opposed, due to ties to Capone. He was gunned down at Dearborn and Madison, in downtown Chicago, probably by the North Side Gang. Supposedly, his execution caused the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.

Jack “Machine Gun Jack” McGurn was the South Side Gangs hitman. His weapon of choice was the Thompson Sub-machine gun, or Tommy gun. He was reputed to have plan the St, Valentine’s Day Massacre, but was probably not present. He was killed by 3 unknown gunmen at the Avenue Recreation Bowling Alley in Chicago.

Political Fixer
Mike was a political fixer who managed to keep the North Side Gang (O’Bannon), the South Side Gang (Torrio & Capone) and the Sicilian Gangs (Gennas) at peace. Two days after he died of cancer in 1924, open warfare broke out.

LESTER ‘BABY FACE’ NELSON (1908-1934) – GRAVE

Lester Nelson was a gangster who joined up with Dillinger, robbing banks. In 1934 Nelson was involved in a shootout with two FBI agents near Barrington, IL. The FBI agents were killed but so was Nelson, ending his career.

ROGER TOUHY (1898-1959)

Roger Touhy was a bootlegger who originally sold alcohol to Capone. Over time, friction developed between the two. Touhy was framed for a murder in 1933 and spent 25 years behind bars. He was gunned down less than a month later.
