The Medal of Honor (MOH) is the United States Armed Forces highest military decoration. It is awarded to those American military personnel who distinguish themselves through acts of valor. These Medals were first established in 1861 during the Civil War. There are three Medals for each of the Armed Forces: Army Medal, Navy Medal and Air Force Medal. There are currently 3535 Medal of Honor Recipients. This tour is of the graves of those who earned their Medal of Honor during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

MICHAEL REINERT BLANCHFIELD (1950-1969) – GRAVE
Vietnam War – Army Medal of Honor
Awarded for his actions on July 3, 1969, in Binh Dinh Province, Republic of Vietnam. Specialist Fourth Class Blanchfield sacrificed his life for his fellow men when he threw himself upon a grenade. He was part of Company A, 4th Battalion, 503rd Infantry, 173rd Airbourne Brigade, US Army.

Vietnam War – Army Medal of Honor
Awarded for his actions on June 21, 1967, in Binh Dinh Province, Republic of Vietnam. Specialist Fourth Class Harvey, while under heavy fire protecting a downed helicopter, sacrificed his life for his fellow men, which caused them to secure the area. He was part of Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile), US Army.

EDWARD CHARLES KRZYZOWSKI (1914-1951) – GRAVE
Korean War – Army Medal of Honor
Awarded for his actions on August 31, 1951, near Tondul, Korea. Captain Krzyzowski led direct assaults on Hill 700 for three consecutive days, before being killed by an enemy sniper. He was part of Company B, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, US Army.

Awarded for his actions February 16, 1967, in Bon Song, Hoai Nhon Province, Republic of Vietnam. PFC aided wounded men under fire and when a grenade appeared, he threw himself on it to protect his fellow soldiers. He was part of HQ & HQ Company, 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division (AirMobile).

Vietnam War – Army Medal of Honor
Awarded for his actions on April 11, 1966, in the Republic of Vietnam. Sergeant Robinson distinguished himself valiantly while under sustained enemy fire, rescuing and aiding wounded soldiers while also eliminating enemy positions, all while wounded himself. He was part of Company D, 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division, US Army.

LOUIS JOSEPH SEBILLE (1915-1951) – GRAVE
Korean War – Air Force Medal of Honor
Awarded for his actions on August 5, 1950, near Hanchang, Korea. Major Sebille sacrificed his life to help his fellow soldiers, when, after being shot up in his F-51 and with all disregard for his own life, crashed his plane deliberately into the column that was harassing the nearby US ground troops. He was part of the 67th Fighter / Bomber Squadron, 18th Fighter / Bomber Group, 5th Air Force, US Air Force.

Awarded for his actions on February 23, 1969, in the Bo Ban Area, Hieu Duc District, Quang Nam Province, Republic of Vietnam. Lance Corporal Weber performed with valiant bravery in the face of heavy enemy fire, eliminating several enemy positions before succumbing to his mortal wounds. He was part of 2nd Platoon, Company M, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division, US Marine Corp.
